Apollolaan 171

GENERAL

On the green Apollolaan in Amsterdam South, a state-of-the-art office building designed by the architectural firm OMA is being built. The building has six floors with a total of approximately 6,606 m2 l.f.a. office space and is located at a corner location. Apollolaan 171 is a design with a double character. With fine brickwork, it marks a delicate and modest addition to a neighbourhood that prides itself on its rich history. The side of the building overlooking Apollolaan is characterised by interlocking glass pieces, as if it were a jigsaw puzzle. The transparent glass façade gives the building an open and inviting feel and allows natural light inside. The green marble used there to decorate the lobby and central hall stylishly complements the greenery of the numerous trees outside. At the corner is the central entrance. At the rear, the building is connected, creating terraces planted with leafy greenery.

ENVIRONMENT

Apollolaan 171 is located in the beautiful Old South, wedged between the Zuidas and the city centre. A district that many consider to be one of the city's most attractive and dynamic neighbourhoods. A popular residential area where luxury shopping streets, culture and restaurants are within easy reach. Oud-Zuid is characterised by an exciting mix of historical city villas and modern buildings with both residential and office functions. Cultural institutions such as the Concertgebouw, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum are just a stone's throw away. There are also various catering establishments, hotels, sports clubs and luxury shopping streets, such as P.C. Hooftstraat and Cornelis Schuytstraat.
